Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Supporting the design, development and delivery of Talent and Performance propositions within the John Lewis Partnership - supporting over 60,000 Partners (employees)
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoyed revisiting some academic topics that I’d covered during my business degree but had forgotten over time. It felt like I was growing again personally and professionally - learning new skills, knowledge, and behaviours while refreshing what I had already.
My cohort were also fantastic, as was my people manager, and my apprenticeship coach. A very supportive network of people, all encouraging each other to succeed.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
So may skills in the project and change management space that I never had before. Also plenty of analytical and insight skills. These are now commonplace in my role today, and as a result I’m performing better and delivering more impact every day through my role.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well - while it felt daunting to begin with, the amount of information and structure was there to set us up to succeed. So may of my cohort achieved distinctions which was in no small part thanks to this.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Plenty - flexibility in time and hours, investing in me through their levy, exposure to projects to apply my learning, etc. JLP is a fantastic example of investing in the Talent and Development of their Partners.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
100% I’m contributing more and performing better. My work is better informed and has clear connection to strategy that it struggled with before.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
