Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Great Apprenticeship lots of skill based training and critical thinking activities that help develop and enhance your roles and responsibilities as a Track Renewal Specialist Apprentice.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy it a lot, to the extent that I loom forward into going into work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes planning, presenting and identifying techniques that help deliver materials and tools for a projects progression.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very structured, lots of different departments with different roles and responsibilities.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Lots of support they're very present and informative.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Lots of support, on my main tutors side, some teachers in different learning plans such as calculus I believe could be supportive in helping us with the questions. If a topic isn't under exam conditions perhaps going through the work not under exam conditions could provide a better learning outcome for me and others.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I feel confident in my qualification so far, although work load can be a lot at times, I'm finding it doable and I feel on top of my work tasks so far.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are extra curriculum activities available at TFL, present on SharePoint and work emails. If I would like to join them all I have to do is enlist.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Transport for London to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It's a great in sight on how public transport around a big populated city such as London operates and the work tasks are always different as well as the learning.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Transport for London?
Really read the job description of the apprenticeship carefully because you can be mislead by your own interpretation of what the apprenticeship is about compared to what it actually involves.
