Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The scheme is incredibly busy and varied. Not only do you complete tasks for your supervisors, but it also balanced against a schedule packed with socials, assessed exercises and networking meetings.
We typically spent each day balancing our tasks with sessions, particularly coffee meetings with members of each practice area.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
You are given a complete insight into the role of London trainees within Gibson Dunn's global business strategy. This also applies to other stages (junior associates, senior associates, partners etc.).
You get the sense that London is increasingly pivotal to Gibson Dunn's global strategy. Trainees are clearly crucial, and as such they are given valuable responsibilities.

The scheme is an excellent test of your organisational skills. Given how busy the schedule is, you quickly learn how to manage your time, prioritise tasks and stick to deadlines.
Most valuably, you are given deep insight into Gibson Dunn's wide range of practice strengths. You spend so much time with people who are the very best in their global practice areas, and it inspires you.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It was excellent across the board. Though you are working with some of the best lawyers in the world, they are strikingly down-to-earth. Nearly everyone was approachable and friendly. My supervisors went above and beyond to include me in their teams, despite being very busy with the best legal work in the market.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
The scheme was an incredible experience throughout. I will not be taking it for granted.
