Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Learning on the job with a coach and periodically going into the training academy for refreshers or in depth training. Attending services and diagnosing issues with catering equipment, to come back to fit the parts during a remedial. I also balance that with off the job training, for example portfolio work and journals.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
It isn't just a program for me, it is my way of life and I cherish it as such. The work outfield is something that makes me feel absolutely alive and to be able to make customers happy with my work so early on gets me out of bed in the morning. The best decision I ever made was joining MCFT's programme.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learned more skills in the past 3 months than I have the last couple years. Intense training displayed with a perfect level of understanding. The skill to boast about most would be a technically gifted mindset, able to see everything for why it is not just what it is. Thanks to MCFT.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
It is still a programme undergoing a bit of works. Some trainers haven't showed up, and review meetings are a bit messy at the moment. Have also been set portfolio work with no teachings on how to do it, only until it was all handed in by all students incorrect.
Programme is amazingly structured and everything happens at the right times for the right reasons.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
As much support as anyone can give. I don't personally require much support besides learning skills I don't have. I will say when times got tough in my personal life, I was given a day off to collect my thoughts. MCFT definitely care a lot.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I was given a full weeks course with [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] to work towards my safe isolation distribution board qualification. Each day cost the company an arm and a leg, which I thought was incredible.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Well the qualification is my role, the qualification I already got for safe isolation is vital because MCFT do not do live work. I could not do my role without it, and further qualifications will only seek completely assist my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Absolutely. MCFT are currently planning a trip abroad to dubai, prioritising staff who have not had the chance to go yet. There are random nights like comedy nights planned, end of year parties where even staff's partners can attend. There is usually something going on for anybody to get involved with.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend MCFT to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It's the best decision I have made for myself both involving my work and social life. MCFT also have a refer a friend scheme and the extra cash would be pretty lovely
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MCFT?
