Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Maintaining and Servicing Refrigeration Equipment alongside an experienced college onsite.
Attending callouts and finding solutions and fault finding to fix/repair refrigeration equipment alongside an experienced college onsite.
Training was done inside our own technical academy in reading which involves practical and theory learning for 1week every 8weeks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
It was very exiting to learn a new trade and learn it so quickly. I have enjoyed learning everything with the trade and I will continue to learn more and more every day whilst out on site currently.
The support and staff have been top notch.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Becoming more personable, having better time management skills, customer service has improved and having a more adaptive approach to things has improved.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
There were some grey areas which was normal due to staff absences but this was usually resolved quickly.
It is quite intense but if you are willing to put the effort in, it is very rewarding to finally complete the apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Tons of support from staff and fellow colleagues. Never batted me away always answered my questions or found someone to answer my questions if I had any.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Tons, was a huge help and at the MCFT training academy. They were half of the reason why I managed to pass my apprenticeship level 3 qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It fills me with a lot more confidence that I have a qualification which means something which helps me when I am on site.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We have annual Christmas dinners which are great for bringing the company together and speaking to people we haven't seen for a long time due to working in different parts of the company/office/engineers.
We are able to organise a group gathering once a year separate to the Christmas party also which helps bring teams together more and create a positive environment to work in.
