Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Service, maintenance and repair on commercial catering appliances such as dishwasher and combination ovens.
Typical day may include callout/remedial jobs and also scheduled PPM's.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme a lot. It gives you a good balance of practical and theoretical learning. You also good on the job experience and it's always good to take what you have learnt in the classroom and use those skills and knowledge in the field.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Compared to what I knew before stating the apprenticeship I have learn so much. I now know how to confidently and safely service many different catering appliances. I have recently started to learn about gas and will hopefully be a qualified gas engineer by the end of the summer. I have personally developed more confidence since starting this apprenticeship

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think, like with any course or apprenticeship, there will always be room for improvement but over the last couple of years the apprenticeship has become more organised and structured and that has helped improve my learning.

Yes, there are always opportunities to socialise as a company and also within our smaller groups of cohorts. There are regular days put organised such as golf days, charity football match
