Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The scheme offered a great glimpse into trainee life at the firm. I was given a number of varied tasks such as legal research, client meeting, meeting with the counsel and also administrative tasks.
The Gateley team were extremely welcoming and collaborative, they were always at hand to assist and support my development during the week. I was given feedback throughout the week.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was certainly interesting to hear the views of everyone within the firm and the journeys of individuals across the firm. I was particularly impressed by the firm's culture and values, it truly is a collaborative environment.

The firm is open and collaborative, it is easy to talk to everyone and there is no sense of hierarchy amongst senior members of the firm.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I thoroughly enjoyed getting a deep insight into the firm's values and culture. I enjoyed networking and collaborating with the team and immersed myself in the tasks. I also enjoyed conflicting deadlines and the challenges posed in a fast-paced environment.

I would research the firm and network with as many individuals from the firm to get a deeper insight. Don't be afraid to ask questions! Be yourself and show your personality.
