Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
I had varied tasks from teams including construction, CDR and Regulatory. There were also a number of teams talks from different departments which gave a good overview of the firm. There were plenty of social events spread out throughout the week which I really enjoyed as it made you feel as you were a part of the firm and got to know people a lot more.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was really good, I got to see how the work varied from paralegals to trainees to partners and even just from team to team. I liked how there seemed to be a lot of different opportunities people could get involved with when working at Gateley.

I have developed my time management skills and communication skills throughout the week. I have also built confidence by finding out more about the different areas of law and what they entail

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It was really friendly and down to earth. The culture they set out on the website translated well in real life. You could tell that everyone there was very motivated, ambitious and hard working, but at the same time they were generally really nice people who wanted to talk to you

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed the insight, it has definitely been my favourite so far and confirmed that this would be my first choice firm. The week was structured really well with a good balance of completing work in the department, with seeing different aspects of the firm and social events.

I would say to make the most of it by going in with a very positive attitude from the beginning and throughout! Talk to everyone and say yes to everything to make the most of all the opportunities there
