Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Working with multiple suppliers raising purchase orders and monitoring deliveries to ensure stock meets our demands. Maintaining good supplier relations through communication and escalating any supply issues up the chain.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the programme as I am working with suppliers all over the globe and have many different interactions on a daily basis. Working in supply can be challenging due to the many external factors so it always keeps me alert and ready

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I've developed my IT skills through the use of SAP and Excel. Communication has gotten better, more concise and confident in my speaking. My time management skills have improved as well as attention to detail.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I feel like there could be more of a plan that breaks down how I am going to spend my 2 years at the company as I'm required to spend time in multiple areas of the business which I am yet to do.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
When I first started I received lots of support and help from the team with weekly apprentice meetings as well as 121's with my line manager. Now I have monthly apprentice meetings and continue with 121's with my manager which is good for raising any concerns.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The lessons are online and there is a lot of self studying which works better for me. We don't attend classes in person but I have regular review calls with my assessor who supports me and makes sure I am all on track.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The CIPS course is useful and relevant to the work that I do and I can apply what I learn in my day to day work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
As an apprentice you're required to take part in CSR events such as careers events at schools, networking events etc. We have a lot of extra-curricular activities employees can get involved in.
