Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I'm a production apprentice for bbc sounds. I do a lot of research tasks i.e. competitor analysis or finding out information for the curation team. I used to do the marketing summary weeks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I think during the application process our job roles were very vague. So initially the apprenticeship wasn't what I expected however now iv'e a new found love/interest for marketing and I want to continue on to do a marketing degree

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Ive developed my research skills and how to understand metadata and data analysis. I've improved my communication skills and time management whilst working here;

My team is so helpful, I was on the verge of getting kicked off the apprenticeship due to performance but since expressing my struggles everyone (all 6 of them) have done their part to give me projects and give me advice

yes so many, we have different networks to join and the apprentice committee

Why?
everyone is very helpful and friendly and actively want you to succeed. There's not anyone that hasn't helped me when I've asked for help. The place is very inclusive and there's so many opportunities for growth
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BBC?
dont take the job description for face value. you might end up doing something completely different, and say yes to EVERYTHING (unless its completely just not for you)
