Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role includes contacting candidates about potential opportunities for them, selling the role to them and then managing the process through to offer stage, providing guidance for the candidate and client.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my job because it's challenging, from what I hear about other degree apprenticeships it can be easy to coast along and not take on too much responsibility. But in my role I really do feel like a pivotol member of the team, and my work makes a significant enough contribution to our success - which motivates me to do my best.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, I've taken on increasingly large amounts of responsibility in my day to day job which has meant I've had to learn new skills such as confidence when talking to clients, the ability to manage timelines for myself and then accordingly manage my clients timeline expectations.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well, we get 1 day off per week to compete university work - which I find works well to handle the workload. And the progression routes are clearly laid out for us in Ladder systems and clear metrics needed for promotions.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
We get a good amount of coaching at desk level, and in weekly 1-2-1's to make sure we are on track and not struggling with any element of the role.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Not too much support to be honest, apart from allowing us the time to complete the work within the week, we don't get too much support from work. From the university we do get supported, with tri-monthly meetings and 2 lectures a week.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
A decent amount, a lot of our modules are linked to our day to day role through the assignments. But it can be difficult to apply it to work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes absolutely - we do charity events e.g. Tough Mudder happening in May. We do weekly badminton and regular trips to the pub on Fridays.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Zenopa to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think it's a much better introduction to working life in comparison to other degree apprenticeships, because you really do take on a lot of responsibilities.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Zenopa?
Be confident, a lot of what we do is talking to clients and candidates, so being able to talk with confidence and conviction are really the soft skills that will allow you to then influence other peoples decision making. The content of what you're talking about e.g. market knowledge, can be tough on the job, but soft skills are more innate.
