Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Right now I'm doing lots of work on automating our processes and providing improved data visualisations. I am also processing and publishing journals and running reconciliations.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the flexible and responsibility that I am given, I also enjoy how much I am involved with senior management. My one criticism would be that in my first year I'd have liked a bit more variety in my work.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Loads! I am doing so much work with automation platforms so I have learned how to use tools like Power BI, KNIME, Snowflake, this includes coding in SQL and VBA.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is supposed to be a rotational one with a rotation roughly every 9 months. I have been working now for 9 months and have begun rotating, which is great, but I am still going to be working on my old rotation tasks for another year and a half. I was also told when I first joined that my first rotation would only last 6 months. So whilst there is a good structure in place, it isn't always followed.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support. My first few weeks were purely training based where myself and the other graduates were given piles of resources to teach us the basics of the job. Since then I have had multiple meetings with senior management who have explained how different business units work. I also have a 'work buddy' that I reach out to a lot.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

A perfect amount of support. Lecturers are very supportive and have answered my questions during classes and even run additional revision sessions to help understand the content. My talent coach regularly checks in on my progress and sets me reachable targets, she is also very responsive when I need assistance.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Right now seeing as a lot of my work has been with digitalisation and automation I haven't had much application of my qualification (accounting), however this will come in the future as I rotate and pick up more accounting tasks.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am currently involved in a 5-a-side work football team that meets up after hours. There are also events that happen in the office every month or so and lots of events through our corporate social responsibility team where we can use our two volunteering days.

It is a very forward thinking company - from my conversations with other graduates it sounds like we are at the forefront of automating processes and implementing technology into day-to-day tasks but also a very supportive company which has a big focus on employee development.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens Healthineers?
We are a company that has a big focus on continuous development and learning so make sure you have a keen attitude to learn and adapt your way of working. Also embrace technology, it has improved my role vastly and sped up a lot of previous manual processes.
