I work with one of our clients, on a day to day basis I'm generally working on custom automation flows for the client in a DevOps role. I'm helping to make their systems more modern and the best they can be
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I'm really enjoying my programme. I get to work with a really good group of people and on some interesting technology.

I have learned a huge amount, the University teaching is fantastic and links in really well to what I do in work.

Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

University links in really well to the rest of the programme, its meant that as my responsibilities have increased in work, university has already prepared me with the skills needed for me to do my job well. I know the university works with the various companies to create the course
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is experienced in working with apprentices, they make sure that you are progressing in your career while making sure that you're not given too much to do too quickly. They check in with us all on a regular basis and are also in a constant communication stream with the university
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We get given an amount of off the job training allowance in order to hit the 20% OTJ quota. This has meant that we get to choose how we study. Some schemes give apprentices a day a week for study, I prefer the Capgemini method as it allows you to be more flexible
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I've mentioned previously, but the course is very well structured and allows you to learn at a pace comfortable with what your job currently asks of you

Yes
Why?
Capgemini rank very well as an employer to work with and now I have been working for Capgemini for some time I can see why. They are supportive and give their apprentices a lot of trust and responsibility from day one
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
Capgemini really likes to recruit people with professional behaviors, they aren't looking for you to be a coding genius from day one, they'll teach you that. However you should be someone they could put in front of a client and for you to be able to show the companies values
