Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves greeting clients when they come into the salon to provide a good service. I give the client a nice hairspa experience and make sure their section is cleaned well for them. I make sure client experience is provided well.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the program as i learn new things every time i go to the academy. I have enjoyed making relationships with the clients and making clients happy.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to provide a good consulation. I have learnt many cutting techniques and am learning new colour techniques. I am also starting perming.
I have learnt how to approach clients in a professional and smart manor.

The program is well structured and is very well designed to make things easier for everyone.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer gives me a good support system. My employer maintains a healthy working experience and is always supportive of my opinions. She is always there if i need a helping hand.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive good support working towards my qualifications. We always know what our targets are and how we need to meet them.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

This helps me to perform better as i learn more skills. I learn new practical techniques and also i learn new client care and consultation techniques.

There are Art Teams which provide new knowledge and this is extra since this is not mandatory however it is a great opportunity to learn more and expand your knowledge.
