Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
At the start of the day I make sure the salon is nice and tidy for when the clients come in , making teas and coffees , making sure the basins are clean , sweeping hair. Washing/ drying hair. Doing the washing up/ washing machine.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the programme very much. I think it is very educating and I like the fact that I can get involved and learn by doing the task and not just standing back.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills by watching stylists on the shop floor and what they do when they are talking to their clients and doing consultations and also when they are doing the service. I have learnt how to do many blowdries and the different techniques.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Toni & Guy to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think that the company is very good itself and the way you get trained is amazing , they are always there to help you in any way. Starting an apprenticeship in my eyes is a good way to connect with the real world and you get to go on the shop floor straight away even whilst training so all of them skills you learn training you can portray them in the salon.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Toni & Guy?
I would say to just be comfortable and don’t feel scared because everyone has to start there journey somewhere and it all comes in time. Don’t be afraid to do something if you see something needs to be done do it don’t wait to be asked. If you have an opinion share it with the team. Don’t be scared to ask questions or for help
