In the salon on a day to day basis, I do the following
Greet clients and gown the up for the stylists and technicians
Offer clients refreshments and magazines
Shampoo and carry out hairspa service
Blow dry and assist with tonging
Remove colour and highlights
Apply toners

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i enjoy learning how to do new hair styles and helping out with client by doing shampoos and drying their hair

Since going to the academy I learnt about colour and have more of an understanding of what choices the technicians make

it is well organized , i have my weekly rota so i know when my weekly training is

my manager is always supportive and helps when we need review for the academy . Stylist and Technicians also help when we are struggling with an haircut or color and gives advise on how to improve

I attend the academy once a week to do my training and when working in the salon I have the opportunity to practice the skills I have learnt
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

As I get a whole day of intense training at the Academy, it makes more confident to apply my skills at the salon

we have yearly event to attend such as mainstage which show off the new collection of hairstyles , also we have assistant competitions we can enter
