Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Am employed as a Healthcare Assistant but works in the role Medical Analyst where we look at Medical training provided by The Army for its personnel. This role looks at analysing the current training provided to see if its fit for purpose to met the strategic objectives of the Army.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

My current programme has helped me alot with my current job role. It helps me to put what I learn on the course into prospective and see they reason why some decisions are being made. The programme has also equip me with KSEB for my role within The Army in general.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have learn and currently learning new skills that has equipped me for my role such as the Defence Systems Approach to Training in the area of Training Needs Analysis and Exteranl Validation process. The course am currently doing has also helped me to analyse information received from reports.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structured to met the demands of the role of a Senior Non-Commissioner Officer in The Army (SNCO). The modules deliver the educational information which can be implemented into the real workplace situations.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

At my current unit I received high level of support towards my course.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

High level of support provided by the training provider. We are also offered monthly academic mentoring session to help improve our academic performance and experience of student life.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has improved it a whole lot as can put into perspective what I learn on the course into work role, making it easier to understand the way in which The Army does it business and what external and internal resources impact in the form of PESTEL & SWOT.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, I partake in a number of extracurricular activities at work such as the Army Multi- Cultural Network, MoD AfCab Network, British Grenadian Armed Forces Association to name a few.
