Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a Grants and Administration Assistant, I support the charitable side of Berkeley Group. This includes working within grant-making, communications and administration tasks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Since beginning my Content Creation apprenticeship at the end of 2024, I’ve really enjoyed gaining a deeper understanding of communications—particularly in how effective strategies can positively impact and support my organisation, making the experience valuable both for my personal development and for the company.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
During my time at the Berkeley Foundation/Group, I have successfully completed one apprenticeship and have since started a second. Through my initial apprenticeship, I strengthened my skills in Business Administration, and I am now expanding my knowledge and abilities in communications through my current Content Creation apprenticeship.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Throughout my apprenticeship, I attend monthly SMART classroom sessions with other learners on the same programme. I’m well-supported by both my line manager and apprenticeship coach, which helps me maintain a structured balance between my apprenticeship responsibilities and my current role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have monthly meetings with my line manager, where we regularly review both my role and my apprenticeship progress. These check-ins give me the opportunity to share how I’m feeling about the delivery of my apprenticeship and discuss any additional support my organisation can provide.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I have scheduled meetings with my apprenticeship coach, which initially include my line manager. It’s been made very clear that I can reach out to my coach outside of these meetings for additional support whenever needed. After my SMART classroom sessions, I usually stay behind for a one-to-one review of upcoming projects or workload.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
After taking the time to explore and reflect on the career path I wanted to pursue, I discovered a strong passion for content creation. Being given the opportunity to undertake this apprenticeship has not only allowed me to develop my skills in the field but also helped me build confidence in applying and sharing my knowledge.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are! At my workplace, there are a variety of extra-curricular activities to get involved in, including social events, professional networking opportunities, and volunteering days.
