Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I have a daily team meeting and tasks to complete, there's also usually events going on so I participate in those too.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The work life balance is amazing and the ethos of the company is really good. I like that integrity is a large part of the company culture too. Work is considerate of the fact that we also have university and lessen our work load around deadlines/exams if we ask

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
yes, I've worked in the rig and done tests on cars for signals to make sure everything in functioning properly

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
On the company end yes, very, however on the university side there was quite a bit of friction at the start with enrolment and with software that needed to be downloaded of different modules
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
A lot, people are regularly checking in on you both from a mental health stand point and work and uni life stand point, in the daily meetings they also check to make sure you aren't stuck. People are also happy to set time aside to help you with something if you need.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
My Lecturers are normally available for us to ask questions at any time however when it comes to the initial work when introducing concepts and teaching skills in the lecture they don't normally make sure everyone is up to speed they will only wait for the first couple people - if that's not you, you have to catch up at home
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
we are taught a broad range of topics in quite a lot of depth so we have a deeper understanding about what things do and why we do them in certain processes
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
YES lots!

Would you recommend JLR to a friend?
Yes
Why?
the company culture is inclusive and people actually care about each other, they make sure everyone feels welcome and that everyone feels like they belong there. There are also lots of opportunities to meet new people and get involved in more things
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLR?
Be authentic, curious, honourable and act with integrity while remaining true to yourself. When people say "just be yourself" they really do mean it here.
