Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role is project management and my day to day involves communicating with stakeholders, liaising with external suppliers, managing timelines and setting realistic expectations
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I do not think this programme could have gone any better. I enjoyed the apprentice team, my the technology team but also my training provider. I have no complaints about my experience

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Before my time at RBO I had never worked as a PM or even had a corporate job. This experience has made me grow but also made me enjoy working in this sector.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme was very well structured. I was working with very experienced project managers so they knew best how I needed to grow and develop.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have had constant support from the apprenticeship team as well as the technology team. They were very understanding and would constantly let you know that the apprenticeship is a learning experience
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Emma who was my development coach at creative alliance was very helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure I’d complete the apprenticeship on time, even when I was behind for a period her constant support helped me catchup.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Learning about business administration helped me so much, as I got to understand the different areas I could go into, but also what happens before the start of a project and what happens after
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are no sports teams, however the apprenticeship team does social events very often. This allows you to see how your peers are doing even though they are in wildly different apprentice roles

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Royal Ballet and Opera to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The overall experience at RBO has been amazing as well as very informative. I feel as if this role would be a great start for anyone in there professional development
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Royal Ballet and Opera?
Just be open and honest, present the best version of yourself and you will get the role. RBO isn’t looking for people to know the job as that negates the whole point of the apprenticeship they are looking for keen individuals with a can do attitude
