Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
Assist in the preparation of UK and supporting business functions’ forecasting activities including budgets, forecasts and strategic plans
Support FP&A’s reporting of divisional performance to the Board through commentary & insight of commercial performance vs. budget.
Support the BAU reporting and compliance cycle, i.e. the production and delivery of data, analysis and PowerPoint presentations for key stakeholders (Board, Management, Lenders and Regulators).
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
The academic side is well taught and the resources are useful. The administrative elements are less enjoyable, but do provide some value in self reflection and development.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have a wide range of tasks, which has provided me with experience in business partnering various functions.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
I would like to speed up the academic side slightly but can discuss with the learning coach, who said the programme is flexible.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
The nature of my role means that financial accounting principles do not come up frequently, but it is still important to know and be able to apply these.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
Professional networking events are less frequent.
