My role is an electrical apprentice. My day to day job involves a number of different things, including cable pulling, Glanding and cable termination.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy what I do in this apprenticeship. I love meeting new people and constantly love learning new skills.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned and developed many skills whilst being in this apprenticeship. I have learned how to work as a team. I have also learned how to work out problems and over come them.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think the programme I am on is very well organised. I am aware weeks before when I am supposed to be in college, I also know well in advance where I will be working each week

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have very good support from my employer. Whenever I am In need of something or I am unsure with anything I know who I can talk to and I know I will get the support needed.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I get all the support needed by my training provider when it comes to my qualifications. I know who I can speak to if I need to and they will always help me when I need it. My tutors will make sure I get the help needed to gain my qualifications.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel like my qualification helps me to preform better in my job role as I find being able understand the theory side of electrics will help me on site
