Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My day-to-day tasks thanks to the skills I have picked up from my Apprentice can range from Health and safety related tasks from audits to risk assessments. I also cover the general day to day running of the warehouse and this will cover also the in house training for all equipment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I feel that the program is like a big hug the program for me has taken a man who was lost and feeling a little stuck in his role and changed him shown him how to be better opened his eyes to all that he can achieve and most of all gave me back the confidence I life I lost a long time ago.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
The new skills I have learnt since my time in the program is massive to say I have upskilled would be an understatement. I am now able to undertake most health and safety tasks as well I have now been able to own a process from end to end as well making sure to report to all people who I need to report too.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The program is so well organized by the manager she is always there to help you with support on EPA prep as well she is also there for your gateway meetings to support you the learner and to make sure that you are getting the best from the program. You also get the opportunities to work with other areas of the business to help others with there learning.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer allows me all the time and support I need for my apprenticeship even at peak times they always make sure that I get the off the job time in. and again the apprentice program is always checking in to make sure that the manager is doing all that they can to help you if needed and support you like a big hug.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider is amazing this is my second time I have been with them. They support me no matter the time of day you can email them or call them at anytime you need help or even have a question. They always check in with you as well to make sure that you are ok.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Like I said on the last question this is my second time with this provider and they have turned me from a low confidence person who was a massive introvert who was struggling to feel the motivation in his role to now a man who is so full of confidence and life with a strong extrovert traits.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I am a member of the apprentice ambassador network, and this has allowed me the chance to help others around me and also allow me to be able to give back to the program to help the next wave of learners. I also attend the apprentice network meetings and also the time to talk sessions.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Pearson to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Pearson is the land of opportunity, and this is the place to be if you want to learn and grow. We take the every day is a school day and we live it every day. What we do effects so many lives and it just gets you out of bed in a morning.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pearson?
Be yourself show that you want to grow and better yourself and, in this motion, you will be able to show people what you can do. Be ready for hard times but also be ready for rewarding times. You will be part of a family when you start and you will have some many opportunities and I say take them.
