Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am a Room Manager, I line manager team members within my family room. I plan and implement learning experiences, complete termly assessments and two year checks. I liaise with the children’s families and provide feedback. I mentor and coach my team members
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme and I feel that you can learn and develop many new skills by completing the programme.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My apprenticeship has allowed me to grow in confidence in my role and when supporting my team members. It has given me a greater understanding of a variety of areas and has allowed me to develop new skills, knowledge and a better understanding of what my role is within the setting and community.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well organised, it is more about you as an apprentice finding what works for you and managing your time well. You need to find a work, study and home life balance
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I can not fault my management teams support throughout my apprenticeship so far. The support has never wavered from even before completing my apprenticeship. They are always around to lend support where needed
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My tutor is always available to support and is at the end of an email. My tutor will always get back to me as promptly as she can and offer advice too as well as checking in on my well-being
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that the qualification helps me in my role by offering me a greater understanding of key areas that I focus on. It also gives me a new found knowledge and understanding of topics which I then can share with my team members which in turn helps them to grow in their roles.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Why?
I would recommend N family club to a friend because for me personally I have felt like I am at home since the very first day that I joined N. My team have been so welcoming and supportive of my journey. It is like a little family and I love it
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to N Family Club?
My tips would be, to be yourself. Observe others, role model and take onboard any constructive feedback. It is how we lean and develop.
