Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work as a Support Social Care worker, where I provide care and support to individuals who may be vulnerable due to age, disability, mental health, or other needs. My role involves helping with daily living daily tasks such as personal care, medication, and meal support, while also promoting independence and emotional well-being.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed how complete the course is from digital learning, to home visits and off the job hours to be completed, it kept me on track with all the learning. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learn different topics that I have never heard off but I have always done it without realizing. It has been an interesting journey to get more deep in areas that I did not understand.

The program is very well structured and complete as it offers a range of different tools to learn such as digital, meetings, home visits, off the job hours, and tasks.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Everybody as shown to be supportive and helped me achieve my goals. I felt the manager was always happy to help and guide me through it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that my qualification through my training provider has been very helpful in improving my performance in the role. It gave me a solid understanding of the core principles of social care- like safeguarding, person centred care, and effective communication.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Choice Care Group?
To show genuine compassion and patience. This role is all about supporting individuals to live their best lives, so being kind, respectful, and understanding goes a long way. Be open to learning- training is provided, and there is always support available, but coming in with a positive attitude and willingness to grow makes a big difference. Also, do not be afraid to ask questions. Every individual you support is unique, and the more you understand their needs and preferences, the better care you can give. If you enjoy helping others and want a role that is both rewarding and meaningful, you will do great here.
