I deputise for the home manager. Work on shift 80% of the time providing care to adults with learning disabilities. Complete Finance tasks. Order medication. Review care plans and risk assessments. Supervise staff.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am finding my apprenticeship challenging but interesting and I have an amazing tutor.

Yes since starting my role I have developed a lot of new skills that tie in with my deputy manager role including more operational skills

The programme is structured perfectly and when I fall behind I get a lot of support
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I get lots of support from my manager. She has completed her Level 5 and helps me when I ask for it. She also gives me time to complete my studies.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The support I receive from my tutor is amazing. She is incredibly supportive especially when it comes to professional discussions, if I am finding the questions difficult she will re-phrase it in a way I will understand.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Since starting my Level 5 apprenticeship my manager has mentioned in my supervision that she has seen a change in how I conduct myself.
