Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As an apprentice commis chef I worked several different stations and learnt menus/ recipes and learnt how to construct each dish. Also cleaning tasks. I have also led the kitchen over busy periods
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have loved my programme and my placement and everyone has been so supportive of me and my learning

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt so much more about food and working in a high intensity environment I have developed better communication skills

I have been able to develop my general knowledge of the kitchen and skills within the kitchen learning new cooking methods and cooking dishes I’ve never experienced before

We have had plenty of social opportunities in the job. I have enjoyed it greatly
