Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role includes, seeing to customers making teas, coffees etc. helping stylists shampooing clients and keeping the salon clean and tidy for the next set of clients in the salon.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I love my program and think the progress I’ve made in such a small amount of time is so good and nice for me to see.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt so many skills from a whole new load of haircuts and colours during training in salon and at my academy/college. Working with stylists day to day picking up skills from them and also learning life skills with how to talk to clients from phone calls to in person chats.

From monthly checkups to day to day availability of talking to my tutors and extra caricular work to help at home.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Sharon, supports me day to day, with out of work and in work scenarios with extra training and pushing me to where she knows I can go.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Any questions or issues I have with inside and outside work my training providers are just a message or call away and are willing to help as much as they can wether it’s in person or online, and will help me through in all ways needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

They help me with real life scenarios and with clients and what to expect what’s best to say and how to go about certain situations,
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have atleast one main event a year which is a lovely gala show, we all get a chance to dress up. We have time in salon as a group to have a chat and a laugh and have a break from work after a long day also

Be yourself but be confident! Show them who you are and how much you want it.
