Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My day to day role is very variable. I do a lot of placements and work in different teams around the business. Right now, I am creating a tool for processing data for powertrain certification.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I love it. I am able to experience many job roles and build a huge network which will act as a good foundation for my career as an engineer.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt and developed many skills on my apprenticeship journey. Some of the most important ones are presentation, problem solving and networking.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
My year has been the first of its type so the first few years were hit and miss. There has been a lot of changes throughout the programme. Overall, I have found the organisation/structure satisfactory, not great but not awful.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a lot of support. I have a cohort lead, university lead and great team around me that are always happy to help and support me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The university give adequate support. I feel you get out what you put in. If you go above and beyond to ask questions and get feedback, the university professors will provide this to a great standard.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The university course has helped me to learn a huge range of topics many of which have been a great help while at work. They allow you to explore topics in more detail than you would at the workplace meaning you get a deeper understanding which can come in handy.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I get involved in a lot of extra curricular activity with the early careers society. There are many clubs such as football, tennis, badminton and my personal favourite an annual ski trip!
