Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I usually write cues, news bulletins and also go out on stories to help film for both TV and radio. I have also covered the role for a JC on the breakfast show which involves getting guests set up on the show, picking up the phone and sorting out all the quizzes

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to set up equipment on stories and have become a lot more confident when filming and doing interviews on location e.g. voxes.

Why?
It is a great opportunity to get into media and production and I feel that it has opened many doors and the skills that I have learnt so far can be transferred if I secure a job within the BBC or just for future tasks

To just go for it and sell yourself
