Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Tear down and fault finding of Battery packs and modules that go into Electric Vehicles at Jaguar Land Rover.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy my programme thoroughly, it gives me the ability to learn an important trade which I am passionate about while earning a generous wage for an apprentice. I would recommend the programme to anyone that is interested in engineering.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, I am learning many new skills every day that I am in my work place. I have the support from my peers and manager that give me the confidence to be able to try and learn new skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
My programme is well organised. We have had the 4 year plan of the apprenticeship explained to us many times. If you ever get confused you can contact your ITM who will point you in the right direction and offer any support that is needed.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a good amount of support from my employer.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
MAKE UK are a good company to provide your qualifications, although at times the tutors can be stretched as more times than not they may be off with illness.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
My job role is different to most of the other apprentices. My job role is a technician, whereas the majority of the apprentices are maintenance. The apprenticeship is mainly tailored towards maintenance, although I have received support from my training provider when asked upon.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
There is a discord group where employees can arrange extra curricular events.

Yes
Why?
As an apprentice, JLR give you the perfect work life balance, while helping you work towards an excellent qualification that you keep for life. Working at JLR feels like one big family.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLR?
To be confident and back your ability, anybody can apply. If I got the job there is no reason you can't. Don't be afraid to ask questions, as it gives off the impression that you are eager!
