Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

A practical role where you gain valuable experience completing planned maintenance checks, maintenance, repairs on machine breakdowns and working as part of a engineering team. Studying is a block release system which gives you time to switch between onsite work and studying.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Both the onsite training/work and Make UK college is enjoyable. You meet lots of new people and gain valuable teamwork experience.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

The training quality from Make UK is decent, where you have plenty of time to study each unit and complete it on time, sometimes they do provide too much time to complete each unit. Training onsite is to a high standard.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The organisation from Ibstock is brilliant on site and when studying at college. However the Make UK organisation is actively in the process of being improved.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Ibstock provide great support to all employees and always treat you well.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

In most units the support from the tutor is brilliant, with additional tutors also willing to help out. Sometimes asking different tutors can result in helping you understand each unit.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification has some units that are beneficial immediately at Ibstock sites, however some units may only be beneficial for later in your career.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Ibstock?
I would highly recommend having a tour of your site before you accept any job offer, to ensure it's the correct working environment for you.
