Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day to day basis I will complete maintenance on hvac systems- this includes air handling units, air conditioning units, heating systems and water heaters. I also attend reactive jobs to fix or replace faulty units when required. I have to ensure I complete all legal documentation in relation to this
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I very much enjoy the programme as there is lots of variance in the jobs which I am required to complete which is over a large area working with multiple engineers

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

During this apprenticeship I have learnt a lot of knowledge in relation refrigeration fundamentals and design calculations. I have learnt how to fully service, repair and replace faulty units and refrigeration components. I also know how to safely handle refrigerants in line with the relevant regulations.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The organisation of the programme has been very good, changes were made part way through the programme but the disruption was very minimal and was managed brilliantly by my employer
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer has been very supportive throughout the whole programme which has been crucial in helping myself achieve the qualifications required for my role.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Dn Colleges have been very supportive throughout my course and helped me prepare for my end point assessment. This gave me both the knowledge and confidence I required in order to pass
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification I have obtained has improved my knowledge and understanding of the systems i work on which helps me diagnose faults and undertake the corrective measures in order to fix them effeciently. This will add to my existing knowledge and help me to continuously develop my knowledge and skill set
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Unfortunately nothing of this nature has been included apart from the initial start of the programme when we all had a meal together. I think networking events would be very beneficial for this scheme moving forward. I also think we should have got to visit head office and the reuse centre which was initially mentioned on the start of the scheme which unfortunately did not materialise
