Maintenance and repairs of electrical, ventilation and air conditioning systems within a hospital environment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed the college learning environment, and the continued assessment way of learning.
It was also good to update skills that I had learnt over my time working.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Obtained a Competent Person qualification for clinical HVAC to an HTM03 standard.
Updated electrical theory knowledge through the apprenticeship.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The college programme was well organised and well structured, with a good balance between theory and practical skills.
The company organisation and mentoring was good, I was allowed to control the pace and type of jobs required to building my portfolio.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

As a mature apprentice, when I required any support this was easy to obtain.
A secondment could have been arranged if I was unable to complete enough work internally to complete my portfolio.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider was available for site visits and assessments.
During college times, there was plenty of extra curricular online training aids available.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Updating and reaffirming skills and theory behind the qualification that had been learnt over previous years has helped me perform my job role better.
