Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am a HR Support apprentice, I rotate teams every 3 months, and assist the teams. Day-to-day, I work with senior HR advisors to assist employees and externals with an array of queries.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoyed my programme, I found it insightful and learnt an array of new information and skills which I was then able to practice in my day-to-day work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed my understanding of current legislation relating to HR, and how to decipher these. I have also developed my communication skills, as I speak to a range of people daily.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well. I received support where needed from my management, without having to ask. I was given the correct amount of time weekly, and this was structured so that I was able to plan ahead for what I would use my study time for.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I was given a lot of support from my employer. My line manager through my apprenticeship was incredibly supportive, and she was always available to talk through any issues I was experiencing, and find a resolution to these.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider was brilliant. I had monthly calls with a coach, where I was able to bring up any issues I was experiencing, and she assisted me with any queries. I felt that she was always available to email and she would always respond swiftly with the correct information I required.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification assists me thoroughly. Learning about the ways of organisations was extremely helpful as it allowed me to understand queries from both external/internals at a higher level.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We have social activities quarterly in our HR department. We also have networking events regularly so that our teams are able to collaborate more frequently and easier.
