Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work as a store assistant and i am responsible for working stock, operating tills and self checkouts, dealing with customers face to face
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy parts of the programme but have not experienced enough of it
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

As of the moment I have only learned the basics of the job and not been taught much else. My customer service skills have been improved even more
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The apprenticeship coursework is structured very well in terms of access and how it’s spread across the whole 3 years.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Some support however i still have not been given any hours within the store to complete any of my apprenticeship work. Not much training has been done either
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My mentor does give me good support and has been helpful with any issues i’ve had so far
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think it does help me as it gives me more of an insight as to what a manager should be looking for when they work within my role

Would you recommend Aldi to a friend?
Yes
Why?
They do have some good systems in place to encourage promotions through the ranks and offer a good wage on regular positions
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
You have to be hardworking and good with customer service
