I work as part of the road surfacing gang and help either all the day to day activities involved aswell as learning how to use the all the small and large plant

I have enjoyed the practical side more than the theory

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt lots of skills, I have learnt how to use the small plant such as sthil saws. Whacker plates. I hav also gained an npors ticket for the tractor including the breaker which I have gained experience on. I have recently got a roller npors ticket and hopefully will more experience

It's bit to bad could do with it being a bit more organised with regard the use of large plant
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Depends on the foreman/supervisor. Some are better than other.

The stuff we learnt on site is a lot more useful than what we learn in college, although college is important for the theory side of things
