Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

From a day to day basis im responsible for the licensing processes for BBC research and development specifically the LUTs process. I also help maintain the data sheets for both patents and partnerships. I also work with the publication process on the RandDs website working closely with the website team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I throughly enjoy the program. All my needs are met and the expectations from the business are fare and manageable. I have been given help when it comes to developing skills as well as completing my degree.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Ive learnt many skills from communication, time management, project management, business finance, accounting, invoicing ETC. the BBC apprenticeships help me and other apprentices gain a wide skill set and overall development of basic skills such as English skills and mathematical skill. Overall I would say ive developed a wide range of skills.

With the BBC being such a large business the apprenticeship is very structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from both my line manager as well as the wider apprenticeship team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive good support however there have been instances of poor communication but overall good.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps me perform better as my work is tied into a work based module so all the content is relevant to developing my skills in my specific role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there are always events such as the children In need events to bake offs in the local office. very good and interactive overall.
