Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Managing the day to day catering services, overviewing operational improvements, monitoring finances and tracking spending and costs, liasing with the client regularly on changes within the team or within the wider scope of cost increases and the potential impacts.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
It was ok, I felt that the communication between myself and HIT fell down after a while just due to conflicting work calendars but overall was kept in the loop.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Yes, working with HIT I have conducted invigilation for an exam, but also become much more fluent with the modern apprenticeship process.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Very well organised, albeit a bit of a slow start at the begining. We really gathered momentum at the mid point.
I will say though, that I felt the slow start could offput a lot of apprentices, as by that point a lot of their initial enthusiasm will have disappated.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
Plenty, but not a whole lot was needed in most situations.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Fairly regular contact, the HIT trainer quickly realised the limitations of the apprentice and adapted their approach to the specific individual which was impressive.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Training and developing people has always made me feel a sense of pride - it is good to see people develop and learn.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
