Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
At work I am involved in projects where I review design proposals from developers and ensure the proposed works pose no risk to our infrastructure.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy learning about different areas of civil engineering either at uni or work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I am always learning new skills at university.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
There is a clear path set out for us to follow. However, communication from the university has been bumpy at times along with unclear and poorly organized coursework/modules.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My employer offers me more than enough support. Within my team there are numerous senior engineers whom I can ask about anything and they will offer me help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
The support offered from my training provider (LSBU) is good at times. It can be good if you were to reach out and ask as a result of poorly put together briefs for work we are tasked to complete.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I find that a lot of the theoretical knowledge I learn at uni can be used in my workplace.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
My employer offers a number of extra-curricular activities such as: Football tournaments, social events and so on.
