Providing analytical support to the Reward team, managing the end to end process of Bupa's bonus schemes, supporting cyclical Reward activities such as annual pay review, bonus payout, gender pay gap reporting etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

This programme was very enjoyable, I have learnt some great new skills that I now use in my role. The pace of the learning was fine and my PDE (tutor) was extremely supportive and helpful.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learnt how to use PowerBI effectively and now use it in my role to create Reward specific dashboards. I have also learnt how to use Python to manipulate and analyse datasets in Excel, making day-to-day work more efficient.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme was very well structured, with skills/pieces of learning broken up into manageable modules. These modules were paced well and expanded on the previous ones, whilst introducing new learning.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I received a lot of support from my employer, my 6 hours a week of apprenticeship time was protected, even during our busiest periods. This helped me to stay on track. I also received great support from my colleagues and line manager, who encouraged me and helped me to stay focused.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I received a lot of help from the training provider throughout my course, the learning platform contained a lot of useful learning resources, as well as useful templates for our various final assessment methods. My PDE (tutor) was also extremely helpful, providing encouragement and support throughout, also providing time for 1:1 coaching sessions when I got stuck.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

This qualification has helped me to expand my confidence in mu own analytical ability, and has helped me to learn new skills with which I can handle, manipulate and analyse data used in my role to provide even better analysis and insights in my work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Not that I am aware of, I am part of various 'Champions' networks, for example 'Analyst Champions' and 'Microsoft 365 Champions' who meet regularly to discuss new skills.

Why?
Bupa is a great place to work, there is a real friendly and supportive culture in the business. I really feel that colleagues and management want you to succeed. I feel extremely grateful and happy to come to work everyday. The work I do is challenging and engaging.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bupa?
Be yourself and try to demonstrate the Bupa values when applying for any roles, as this is important to everyone at Bupa.
