Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role as a Creative Marketing Apprentice consists of working on design platforms including Photoshop and Canva, creating content for our Social Media platforms, tracking data and managing our videos from pre-production to post-production. My day-to-day role includes creating designs requests from people within and outside the marketing team; managing video production to ensure all feedback has been recognised and deadlines are met, creating edits to videos and scheduling and attending meetings where I will collate notes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

As a marketing apprentice at Man Group, I absolutely love my programme! The exposure to both traditional marketing and digital strategies has been incredible. I'm learning so much about financial services marketing, which is quite different from consumer marketing.The mentorship has been fantastic too. Plus, getting to work with different teams across the firm really helps me understand how marketing supports the broader business.

Since joining Man Group, I have developed a deeper understanding of both marketing strategies and the company’s operations. I have gained valuable skills in content creation, design, and social media, which have allowed me to contribute to impactful campaigns and brand visibility. Man Group have provided me a lot of guidance through this apprenticeship.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The team's really supportive - if anything isn't clear, I can always ask. We use a proper tracking system for my progress, and my learning objectives. Pretty organised compared to what I hear from apprentice friends at other companies!

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Man Group?
During my application to Man Group, I learned that while doing your research is important, they really value authenticity and enthusiasm over perfectly polished answers. Don't be intimidated by the finance jargon - they're more interested in your potential and willingness to learn! My top tip would be to show your adaptability and digital skills, even if basic, and always come prepared with thoughtful questions. The application process is thorough but remember: they're looking for genuine people with the right attitude, not financial experts.
