My current role is to assist on water projects by collecting data from the client and analysing it, to inform which engineering option to pursue.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my office, the people and the projects I have been assigned. So yes I enjoy it!

Presentation skills and being able to do it with confidence is something I have picked up.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

There is no rotation, I am going to be in my department for the whole 5 year apprenticeship which is a shame, but the support for apprentices is fantastic.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

As much as I need, there are many people other than my line manager who I can ask questions to.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Aside from lectures, only one of my 3 modules offer support sessions. Communication is not the best.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

6 months in, the modules I have studied in my degree are not directly linked to my job role, however it does help me to think more like an engineer.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are weekly social events, as well as less frequent team get-togethers. There is some organised sport as well as lunches/dinners, so something for everyone.
