Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
The DfE supported me through the process well. The dedicated apprenticeships team was on hand when I had problems with the provider Realise. My apprenticeship got off to a shaky start as there were issues with the tutor Realise provided, and my entire cohort dropped out of the course. I was then left without a tutor for over a month. However the team in DfE supported me in seeking a solution with the provider. I then was assigned a new tutor, who was great. She worked with me to get me back to where I needed to be And I finished the apprenticeship with a distinction.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
I found the material interesting, however it was quite admin heavy.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I was able to apply learning from the course, immediately into my role. This included learning theories, as well as supporting and consulting with the business.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
Had I have had my final tutor for the whole programme I would have found the structure much better. I was often left not sure what the next steps were, or how the process worked, which was frustrating at times.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My employer was supportive, especially the apprenticeship team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
The training provider initially provided little help, or support - however with my final tutor she was extremely supportive and helped me catch up and completed the apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I am able to apply the ideas that I learnt directly in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
The apprenticeship network runs networking events and socials.
