Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
There is a variety of work and you may even be able to go and visit the plant you are working on.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
yes, many throughout the apprenticeship that are vital to a process engineer. There are lots of training opportunities provided, for example Plant 3D.

Structure and Support

3/5
The organisation/structure has improved over the five years of the apprenticeship.

There is a lot of support available with many drop in sessions as well as approachable colleagues.

5/5
Lecturers are always available and the apprenticeship team have your full support throughout the EPA process.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification provides a basic overview of process engineering. The nuclear industry is very niche and so just as much learning is needed on the job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are lots of networks to join including the Gender Balance Network. The individual projects and teams you work with also tend to organise activities outside of work.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Cavendish Nuclear to a friend?
Yes
Why?
They are a nice team to work with where everyone is approachable. It is a decent salary and I have always felt I had support where needed, especially through the stress of completing a degree alongside work.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Cavendish Nuclear?
I would advise to look into the basic knowledge/background of the nuclear industry as it will with the big learning curve if you have not had any experience within this industry.
