Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is to put out stock and help out any customer that requires it. On the day to day I will spend most of my day putting out stock and working the back stock that we have in the warehouse.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it very much as the team here at my Aldi is lovely and very supportive making my time at work more enjoyable and my training provider is great aswell along with my coach who is very supportive.

I have developed various skills like teamwork, time management, organisation, how to communicate properly and various other

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well structured as I have a set amount of learning to do for each month and a set amount of OFJ hours that I need to do each month, what I need to each week/month is made very clear and very accessible
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I revive loads of support from my employer including time to work on my learning and I get lots of support from them regarding the working side to the apprenticeship as if I ever I have a questions or need help I can always count on them
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I revive regular feedback and I have video sessions and face to face sessions ever few months to do new learning and discuss progress with me and my line manager.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The information that I learn on my learning plan is helpful in in my role as a store assistant as Almost all of it is applicable to my role, like things like teamwork , stock rotation, technology. All of this helps me to improve my performance at work
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I think they have a football team when they play against other Aldi stores that make a team.
Our store does group activities and meals for seasonal times like Christmas and Easter.

Why?
As a shop it is great and has an everything you could need without overcomplicating what you can buy. And as an employer they are also great as the support that I have gotten and the positive response that have given me as soon as I joined was incredible and very positive making me feel very welcome.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
Make sure you act like yourself and don’t just try to impress them, make sure that you talk about how good you can work in a team and that you have effective communication skills, if you have any extra education or extra curriculums add them on to toot applications.
