My role includes: report writing, carrying out calculations for various design work, modelling of buildings or systems and drawing work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme that I’m on and the people that I work alongside at university and in the workplace are great.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Finite element modelling and post processing results, as well as report writing and development of soft skills.

The university programme is still ironing out some things in terms of the course structure, however it seems to be continuously improving

I receive lots of support from my employer and I’m constantly encouraged to ask questions and given help to understand tricky concepts.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

UWE is good for offering support to those students in need and constantly monitors engagement to help those who may need it
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

There are definitely aspects where the qualification is necessary to understand the fundamentals of the role, however most of my learning has come from on the job experience and learning from specific tasks that I have undertaken

There are loads of social events, pay day drinks, networking opportunities and even a sports day weekend for all offices to get involved with.
