Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My day-to-day role involves a mix of engineering tasks, drawings, management of budgets, and regular communications. I often have a range of meetings that cover a variety of tasks / projects, and they can range from colaborative to presentations.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy my programme quite a lot, I feel supported in my role and have a good amount of autonomy for my position. However, I would appreciate some more diversity and opportunity in the projects I work on in the future.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learned many new skills on my apprenticeship, all of my engineering skills are new to me, and have developed massively since beginning my career. I have also developed my communication skills, and confidence.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The university part of my programme is very well organised, I have block release and set exam dates which help provide a good structure. The work part of my programme is also well organised, however I would appreciate more of a range of experiences to improve my knowledge.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I recieve a lot of support from my employer, especially my line manager and mentor. The ECP network is also fantastic and provides a lot of support and development for young professionals.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
On the whole, I recieve a lot of support from my training provider. The university itself is wonderful, and as are most of my lecturers, however, there are some lecturers that are less supportive and it is more difficult to get resources, etc. from them.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel the degree I gain is fundamental to my role, and provides the theorectical skills I need to progress and excel in the industry.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I am a huge advocate for extra-curricular activities within the company, and get involved wherever I can. We have everything including sports, language lessons, beer tastings, and theatre outings. We pride ourselves on being open to all activies people are wanting to partake in. We also have the opportunity to attend many professional networking events.
