Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I start my dayss by allocating the cash that comes into our bank, once that is done I then help the Netherlands site out with their invoicing. I also open up new customer accounts, Uk billing, sending the invoices to our customers and dealing with any queries we have on them. I daily interact with customers on the phone and other colleagues asking me for assistance on their tasks, One project I am working with at th moment is collating all the teams processes and producing a document with them on with the plan to ship to our other entities.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my programme a fair amount as I always have stuff to do and keep me busy. Whether that be my coursework or my daily tasks within the business. I also enjoy it as I feel apart of the business and feel as if I am a key member to my team and the company.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
During my time here I have learnt various new skills in the finance department. These include skills on different platforms such as Sage and Excel. Another skill I have gained in MCFT is interacting with other people in the business whether that be in meetings or in the office in general.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My programme is well structured by the college that I am with as they have clear task units for us to complete and for us to follow. | also feel they are well organised as they plan meetings at our workplace with us t catch up and assess how well we are doing in the business with the practical work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
From the employer we receive good support as our L&D executive regularly checks up on us providing us with time to set to thee side to make sure we try complete the work set. She also does a meeting every other Thursday to teach us crucial skills that we use in everyday life in the business such as minute taking.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I get a lot of support from the training provider as they have their own portal where we submit our work and where she can ask us questions or support us in the work that we submit. As well as that they come out to all learners for a catch-up.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I feel very confident in this as I believe it will be the first steps to develop my knowledge of the business world and learn all the fundamentals needed to progress in my personal career As they have taught us on how to conduct ourselves in various scenarios and situation.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
We have an events teem we have monthly meetings to try and arrange events within the business including both engineers and office staff, this is a great way to connect with the engineers who are rarely in the office. We also have a monthly comms meeting where we gather at a venue and hear from different areas and managers of the business learning things that have occurred during the year and month.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend MCFT to a friend?
Yes
Why?
MCFT are a great company to learn new skills and develop your business knowledge. Also they provide plenty of opportunity for growth and support their many apprentices that they have. Another positive about MCFT is that they are worldwide, so employees can go and see parts of the world visiting the various different venues we have such as Dubai and Netherlands.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to MCFT?
One piece of advice I would give to someone applying is be honest and positive as MCFT is a positive environment where everyone knows each others names and where people pick up on when people are down or if they are having a bad day and there are people within the company which can assist.
