Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I assist senior engineers with the design of ventilation systems in the energy industry. This involves creating drawings, reports, basic calculations and 3D modelling of ductwork/pipework in Revit.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme as I have plenty of support to complete my uni work while still working on projects and I am constantly developing my technical skills.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned plenty of new skills including CAD, 3D modelling, equipment sizing and technical report writing.

I receive plenty of support from my employer and I feel like I am in an environment where I can ask for help if I need it.

As it is early in the programme I haven't had too much interaction in this regard but they have been helpful so far.

There are loads of extra curricular activities to take part in including annual sports day, pay day drinks activities, sports and social club organised activities which are often subsidised.
